We want the best possible placement for your child
Summit Academy is specifically designed for children who have average to above-average aptitude for learning, but have not met with academic, social, and/or organizational success in a mainstream educational setting. However, Summit Academy prides itself on considering the whole child during our admissions process. We take risks for children, and have had great success in educating students that other schools may not consider.
If we believe there’s a reasonable chance of helping your child make progress, we will take it.
If we feel that your child may be better served in another setting, we will work with you to find it.
Admissions Process
1
Inquire
Use our contact form to send us a message or schedule an introductory phone call with a member of our admissions staff.
2
Take a Tour
We invite you & your child to tour Summit Academy and visit our classrooms.
To help us better understand your child’s needs please bring documentation such as psychoeducational assessments, IEP, 504 Plan, or Special Education Evaluation if applicable.
3
Student Shadow
If we find that Summit Academy might be a good fit, we will schedule a shadow day (two days for Pre-K/K). This is an opportunity for students to experience a typical school day at Summit.
Please note: If there are no openings in your student’s instructional level, you may ask to be put on the waiting list. The date of your application determines position on the list. If your student needs additional testing to determine specific placement in Summit Academy’s program, it will be scheduled after admission has been confirmed.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions – we are here to help you!
