Only two more weeks of school left! Remember this Friday we will have noon dismissal for conference prep and we will be closed next Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

Scholarship Blood Drive


Summit Academy and Kroger Middletown are hosting our second blood drive through the American Red Cross! 

For those who didn't or couldn't give blood in April, you have a second to do it and this time Summit will benefit. All blood donations will go to help fund the Summit Academy Scholarship Fund!!

When? Thursday, May 28, 2015, 10:00-3:00 p.m.
Where? Kroger Middletown

Please tell your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors!

Teacher Appreciation you to the PTO for a delicious breakfast last week! This week the PTO is hosting a Staff Appreciation Luncheon, Friday, May 22 at 12:00 p.m. Items that are needed include:

  • side dishes
  • sandwiches
  • salads
  • desserts
  • drinks

Enough food is needed to feed around 50 people. If you would like to help, please bring in your dish Friday morning by 11:30 a.m. Contact Kristen Hudson at 502-802-1818 or The PTO will also be presenting the staff gift at the luncheon. Thank you in advance for your help!


Summer Social Skills Groups 

Pediatric Psychological Associates is now enrolling for summer social skills groups. The groups are for boys and girls entering grades 3 - 7. CLICK HERE for more information.


Summer Reading should have received Scholastic summer reading packets last week. Any child who reads over 500 minutes between now and September 4 will be invited to a silly string party! If the entire school reads over 50,000 minutes total, the party will be school wide!


Buy One, Get One book fair will be held in the library on 5/29 (Awards Day), 5/30, 6/1 (Carnival Day) to kick off summer reading.
