Contribute to our Yearbook

We want to know special stuff about your student for the yearbook!

To participate, CLICK HERE and (you or your student) can fill out a short online questionnaire. The survey answers will then be considered for use in our yearbook. If you prefer a paper copy CLICK HERE for a printable version or fill one out at the front desk.

We need your pictures! Send photos of all things Summit to Chevonne at YOUR FAVORITE SUMMIT TEACHER ON A TROPICAL VACATION!

This week, each student will receive 10 raffle tickets to Send a Teacher Packing - an easy way to show appreciation for your favorite teacher(s). Families, students, & friends can nominate any teacher by purchasing as many raffle tickets as they would like for $5 each.  Tickets can be purchased by anyone - students, parents, grandparents, alumni, even teachers!

On April 23, immediately following the Spring Drama Production, we will draw the lucky teacher who will enjoy a nice, relaxing vacation in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in Naples, Florida! The more "nominations", the more entries for that teacher and the more chances to win.

In addition to the deserving teacher, the person who purchased or sold the winning ticket will receive a birthday party package for 10 people from All About Kids!

Look for your tickets and more information coming home early this week.

Volunteers Needed!

As you may have heard, Summit Academy has been named an Official Charity of the 2015 Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon! We have several runners who are running as part of team Running 4 Summit and raising money on our behalf:

  • Brian Faulkner
  • Doug Rose
  • Janna Mathews
  • Michael Columbus

We have also been asked to provide volunteers at either the expo nights before the race or at the finish line. We have 10 openings for volunteers - (must be 16 and older, although younger children may accompany a parent). Volunteers will each receive an official KDF Marathon Volunteer shirt.

Volunteering is a great way to show your appreciation to the organizers for selecting Summit Academy as an Official Charity AND cheer on our Running4Summit team members.

If you can help at either of these time slots, please let Teri Hardman know ASAP:

  • Option 1: Expo Packet Pick-up: Thursday April 23, 3:30 - 8:00 p.m.
  • Option 2: Expo Packet Pick-up: Friday April 24, 6:00 - 9:30 p.m
  • Option 3: Finish Line (distributing drinks, etc to runners): Saturday April 25, 7:00 - 10:30 a.m.

Can't decide if running the 2015 Kentucky Derby Festival is for you? For a limited

time, KDF is offering $10 off registration fees for those wanting to be a part of

our official race team! Just go to and use the code: KDFFRIENDS and you will get $10 off the registration fee.

Once you register for the race, be sure to join the Running4Summit team!  CLICK HERE  and select "Become a Fundraiser".
