Dear Chevonne, you to all of you who came out to support our basketball team last Saturday. Our team played well, making it to the championship game, but falling behind to West End School 37-27. Marshall Barnes and Ray Clyburn were chosen as all-tournament "MVP"s by the other participating coaches. Way to go, guys!

If you were able to attend the Mountaintop Breakfast on November 7, you were part of something wonderful. The personal stories were heartwarming and moving - and the perfect illustration of how Summit Academy is unlocking potential every day!

In addition to being a vehicle for sharing the Summit Academy story with our community, The Breakfast is the kickoff to our Annual Giving Campaign. We are pleased to announce that we are already over 70% toward reaching our budgetary needs for the year.

If you intended to give at the Breakfast but didn't have the chance - or if you did not attend, it's not too late to help us reach our goal. Every dollar raised, no matter how large or small, goes toward school operations and our scholarship program.

You can make a donation online by clicking here or mail a check to Summit Academy. However you choose to give, please know that the children and families we serve thank you.

Spring is just around the corner (kind of) - and in Kentucky, that means basketball madness!  This year, Summit Academy plans to "tip off" your basketball frenzy with the 1st annual Bluegrass Bourbon & Basketball event on Saturday, March 1, 2014. The event will be held at Gingerwoods in Prospect and will feature a live auction, bourbon tasting and a chance to show your team spirit!  We are looking for folks to be a part of our planning committee to help us put together a top notch event.  If you are interested or know someone who might be, please contact Teri Hardman. is running out to sign up for Ski Club!
