Mountaintop Breakfast - Summit Academy's largest fundraising and
are now available and will be sent to you later this week. We
also have printed invitations available - need one sent to someone?

again, Summit will offer extended childcare on the morning of the
breakfast for those parents attending. Our doors will be open beginning at 7:00 am on
Thursday, November 7, for anyone who wishes to drop their student
at the school before going to the Breakfast. Teachers will be overseeing the children and there
will be no charge.

Picture re-take/make-up day was cancelled last Friday
and has been rescheduled to Friday,
October 25, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Please note this on your calendars and be sure to notify your
child's homeroom teacher if you intend to have their photo re-taken.

More About Internet Safety
assembly is scheduled for Tuesday,
October 15, at 2 p.m. in the auditorium for our 7th and
8th grade parents and students.
Officer David Hamblin from the Metro Police will be here to discuss
internet safety. The technological revolution has changed our
world. While there are many, many benefits as a result of all
the technology, there are also dangers. We want to make our students
aware of the dangers associated with social media and misuse of the
internet. The presentation will last about 30 minutes followed by
15 minute Q & A.
We had approximately
150 grandparents join us for breakfast on Thursday. Following
breakfast and a short presentation, grandparents had the
opportunity to see firsthand their grandchildren in action when
they visited with the literacy classes. From the smiles on
their faces on their way out, it looked to be a very enjoyable

You may have already noticed a recent addition to the
front lawn. The statue of a Kosair Shriner
carrying a child, one that you can also find in several other
locations in the Louisville area, is known as the Silent
Messenger. They are symbolic of the statement, "No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a

The Trinity High School and Mercy Academy visits
for 7th and 8th grade students have been once again rescheduled.
