It's that time of year again...
went out last week for the 2013 Mountaintop Breakfast. If you
did not receive one, or if you would like to have an invitation
sent to someone, please contact Teri Hardman.

will be going out this week!
again, Summit will offer extended childcare on the morning of the
breakfast for those parents attending. Our doors will be open
beginning at 7:00 am on Thursday, November 7, for anyone who wishes
to drop their student at the school before going to the Breakfast.
Teachers will be overseeing the children and there will be no
previous years, we will have some children involved in the event -
we will be letting you know next week if your child will be
participating and what that will mean for you.

You should have
received your picture orders last Friday. If you did not pre-order
or would like to order additional prints, either fill out and
return the form from your picture packet or visit inter-state.com
and enter the name and order code on your form.

picture re-take and make-up day is this Friday, October 4. If you would like a retake, please fill out the student
information portion of your form and return to the front desk (with
portraits if you pre-ordered). This will be a free dress day for
those who are having pictures taken.

breakfast with us and see their grandchildren's classrooms and tour
the school. If your child has a "special someone" in their
life that is like a grandparent to them, such as a favorite
aunt/uncle, family friend, etc., please feel free to invite them -
or let us know and we will send an invitation to them.

Kosair Kids Halloween Night
an opportunity to get up to 40 tickets for Kosair
Kids Halloween Night at the Louisville Zoo on Wednesday, October
16 at 6 p.m. If you are interested in
receiving a ticket, please email

- Please only request a ticket if
you are absolutely
sure that you will use it since Kosair Charities will track all tickets
- Everyone entering the zoo must
have a ticket-not just children.
- Initially, we will give only one ticket
per family. If, by October 14, we have not had a request for
all the tickets, we will give you an additional ticket.

Tops Class competition is underway! Continue to cut those Box Tops
and send them into school no later than October 11th.
homeroom class who brings in the most box tops will win an ice
cream party paid for by PTO! Please mark your baggie or Box Top
Envelope or paperwork with your teacher's name on it. Check
the competition board next to the front desk.

Many thanks to
the Barnes family for donating concrete work and goal so that
we can have a "basketball court" in the back field. It
will be enjoyed by our current students and future students for
years to come.
