Dear Chevonne,

It's the last full week of summer vacation - we hope you enjoy it!  Read on for back-to-school information and upcoming events.


New Parents--it's a nervous time starting a new school.  We are here to answer your questions, so please call us!  Also, there will be a social gathering for you on August 29 so you can meet staff, faculty, and other parents. Look for an invitation in the mail.

Parents Only Orientation

Tuesday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m.

New and returning parents are asked to attend.  Find out what's new this year at Summit, how you can become involved, and other important information.


The orientation will last about an hour.  Please try to come without your children if at all possible.


Student Orientations

New Student Orientation - Wednesday, August 21 at 1:00 p.m.

Returning Student Orientation - Wednesday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m.


Both sets of students will have a brief orientation in the auditorium, then be dismissed to their homeroom to meet their teachers, see their class, and drop off supplies.


Gift Wrap Fundraiser


Summit's annual Great American Gift Wrap Fundraiser will kick off Thursday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

Parade Help


We will be participating in the Middletown Parade again this year on Saturday, September 7 - and we are in need of a trailer for our float!  If you have one and can lend it (or pull it) for the parade, or if you would like to help decorate the float please contact Chevonne at or 502-244-7090.

Summit Academy parents - new and old. 


The PTO will be hosting The Boo-Hoo/Ya-Hoo Breakfast from

8:00 - 9:00 a.m. on the first day of school, in the conference room.


It's a great opportunity to meet parents and staff, and kick the year off!  We hope to see you there!

Get Your Summit Spirit T-Shirt!


For sale this year, we have Summit Eagles spirit t-shirts!  The PTO will be selling them in the lobby at the Parent and Student orientations and we will continue to sell them throughout the school year.  Make sure to get one for your student and yourself!

Costs are $15 for adult sizes & $12 for child sizes.
