Recently, our Freshmen went on a two day trip to Camp Nuhop in Ohio. From ropes courses and zip-lining to canoes and campfires, the students participated in a range of activities that tested their abilities and challenged them to try new things.
What makes this particular retreat especially unique is that our 9th graders were also learning about what goes on behind the scenes at Camp Nuhop.
As part of our School-to-Work program, High School students go on weekly visits to local employers and experience what it’s like to work there. At Camp Nuhop, they went on job interviews and learned about the various roles that exist at camp.
The camp was a great way for our students to learn new things about nature – and themselves.
Here’s what some of our 9th grade students had to say about their experience…
Thank you to the staff at Camp Nuhop for giving our students such a rewarding and memorable experience!
