High School at Summit

Dear Summit Academy Families:

As many have heard by now, our Board of Trustees voted to establish a high school at Summit Academy starting with a 9th grade next fall. The driving force behind this decision is our commitment to ensuring that you and your children have as many good options as possible as you make the transition to high school. Please know that, as always, our primary interest is what is best for your child, whether or not that means that they eventually enroll in our high school.

Our high school will offer two “tracks” – vocational/practical arts and college prep. A committee of the Board has been formed to address the variety of details that come with this undertaking. As soon as those specifics are in place we will share them with you. In the meantime, please know that I am happy to speak with you about this exciting development.

With best wishes,

James K. Elliott
Head of School
Summit Academy
